Cable & Wireless and Vodafone UK today announced a landmark partnership deal.
In a two-year agreement worth £40 million, Cable & Wireless will provide a range of professional and IP network services that work toward aligning both of the companies next generation network strategies.
Cable & Wireless has provided a range of voice and data services to Vodafone UK for nearly 20 years and is its preferred connectivity partner for its Enterprise customers.
Vodafone UKs decision to build on the existing relationship was down to Cable & Wireless commitment to take a partnering approach - rather than just being a supplier. It will work with Vodafone UK to understand its market challenges and deliver a service that meets its busin
ess goals.
David Shaw, Chief Commercial Officer, Cable & Wireless Europe, Asia and US, said: "Our strategy is to focus on the largest users of telecoms and to deliver them what they want, when they want it and with an unparalleled customer experience. As such, were thrilled to be given the opportunity to partner with Vodafone UK - its doing great things at the moment and were looking forward to showing them what we can do."
Marcus Webb, Head of Carrier Services, Vodafone UK, said: "Were looking to grow our market share in the UK and wanted a partner that understood our goals and could deliver against them. As well as having the right skills in place, Cable & Wireless showed a huge desire and commitment to get to grips with our business and our people to develop the services that suit our needs."
